DISTRICT PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT - January 31, 2020

Below, you will find information regarding the Friday, January 31, 2020 Certificated District Professional Development Day.  

Principal/School Site Reminder:   
Sign-in/out -  District Professional Development Day begins at 8:00am and ends at 3:30pm (7.5 hours). When teachers travel between locations, thirty minutes of travel time is added to the lunch hour Traveling teacher: signs in at the morning venue AND signs in again at the afternoon venue.  Must sign out at the end of the day.   
Non-traveling teacher: signs in and out at the one location. Curriculum and Instruction will communicate with school site secretaries regarding the logistics of sign-in sheets.

The PD scheduled for January will focus on Fluency. In this session, teachers learn the fluency routines and how they progress through the grades.  This gives teachers an overview so that they can pull fluency from multiple grades to meet the differentiation needs for their class. The focus on fluency is fantastic as a mixed grade session.  It is important for one grade level to be familiar with the routines of all grade levels. Here is the agenda for the session:
