Health and Safety Support

Ensuring the Health and Safety for the Vista Community is a top priority as we reopen schools in the fall.  The work of the Health and Safety Team was framed by the following four guidelines:

  • Prioritize the health, safety, and well-being of all Vista Unified stakeholders
  • Follow guidelines set forth by state and county officials
  • Ensure all Vista Unified properties are safe for students, staff, and the general public
  • Support the ongoing learning for students in a safe environment

While the reopening of schools will require a great deal of preparation, these procedures will help keep our students and staff safe. Guidelines will be provided to all school sites on the following preventative measures:

  • Symptom screening
  • Facial coverings
  • Social distancing
  • Frequent hand sanitation
  • Ingress and egress
  • Classroom layout designs
  • Isolation room for persons with COVID-19 symptoms
  • Cleaning and disinfecting protocols
  • Personal protective equipment
  • Directional signage for safe movement on campuses
  • Bus riding procedures

Please review the FAQ document on the right (or below, if on a mobile device) for additional information regarding procedures once our schools are reopened.
